Our comfortable 36-seater restaurant offers a wide range of homemade food ranging from griddled steaks & grills, chicken and fish to pizzas and pasta. We also have a frequently changing ‘specials’ board, which offers a range of our tempting speciality dishes, plus some great value meal deals.
The owner James cooks all food to perfection and is frequently complimented on his delicious, juicy steaks, all served with real homemade chunky chips, onion rings, mushrooms and salad. Mmmmm! Also described as having ‘the best pizzas in Durham’ by our regulars, or as being ‘better than in Rome’ by one jet-setting local in particular, our pizzas are made with homemade dough, thin and crispy based, using fresh ingredients and baked in an authentic stone based pizza oven.
On Sundays we serve a traditional Sunday lunch with a choice of 3 roasts, homemade Yorkshire pudding, three vegetables, roast and mashed potatoes and REAL gravy! We are regularly fully booked as our menu offers such great value for money:-
