Local attractions

The North East is a region that is rich with attractions. If you require any advice on directions or travel tips then do not hesitate to speak to Kate or James on arrival.

The village of Pity Me is only two miles away from the centre of the historic City of Durham, a world heritage site, with its magnificent Cathedral and castle, Crook Hall Medieval House & Gardens and Durham Light Infantry Museum & Art Gallery. The Lambton Hounds Inn is situated less than a mile from excellent park and ride facilities to take you right into the centre of Durham.

With excellent road and rail links to the rest of the region we are also conveniently placed for easy access to the North East's most famous tourist attractions including: Beamish museum, the Baltic Art gallery and Milennium Bridge, Tanfield Railway, the Angel of the North, the Metro Centre and Newcastle City centre.

The Lambton Hounds is also an ideal base to explore the beautiful, unspoilt beaches of the Northumbrian Heritage coastline area and some of the regions most spectacular sights like Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne Castle & Holy Island.
